COASTS
The oceanside is my favorite place to photograph, but it is also the most challenging. Lighting and weather conditions are constantly changing, and the sand and saltwater do not mix well with camera gear.
I'm reminded that the effort and persistence is worth it when I experience an up-close interaction with the animals that call the beach their home. The exhilaration of standing next to an adult alligator on the remote Bull Island, or the peace of seeing reflections from a pelican's ocean blue eyes - these are the feelings that I do my best to capture in my coastal images.
